Goal

Our goal is to raise a total of R$ 875,000 to support seven Deaf Associations in Rio Grande do Sul. These organizations play a vital role in the community, providing essential support for deaf individuals, including food, pharmaceutical assistance, healthcare, and furniture acquisition.

Why is it important?

Deaf associations are crucial in ensuring that deaf individuals have access to essential resources and services. Unfortunately, many of these associations are facing financial difficulties, which threatens the continuity of their vital programs and services.

Where will your support go?

The funds raised will be distributed among the seven deaf associations in Rio Grande do Sul, ensuring that they can continue to provide:

1. Food: Ensuring that deaf individuals have access to nutritious daily meals. Pharmaceutical Assistance: Covering the costs of essential medications for those in need.
2. Pharmaceutical Assistance: Covering the costs of essential medications for those in need.
3. Healthcare Assistance: Ensuring that association members have access to medical care and preventive health services.
4. Furniture Acquisition: Allowing associations to acquire appropriate furniture for the households of those who have lost their homes in the tragedy.
5. Logistical Support: Covering essential expenses such as transportation, cleaning supplies, and other supplies needed for the well-being and recovery of the affected communities.
6. Volunteer Support: Ensuring that volunteers who dedicate their time and energy to help the affected communities have access to the resources and support needed to carry out their work effectively and safely.

The initiative centralizes financial aid and provides security and transparency in the receipt and allocation of resources.

In light of the public calamity situation faced in the state, the Society of the Deaf of Rio Grande do Sul (SSRS) has activated a donation channel for the SOS Deaf Community of Rio Grande do Sul account.

The PayPal account has been reinstated. Cash contributions can be made by individuals and legal entities who are able to assist the flood victims.

The management and oversight of the resources will be handled by a Management Committee, chaired by the Society of the Deaf of Rio Grande do Sul and composed of representatives from deaf associations in Rio Grande do Sul and social entities. The resources will be fully allocated to humanitarian support for flood victims.
